New Energy Times has just learned that, on Sept. 27, 2013, the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) quietly announced a funding opportunity for low-energy nuclear reaction (LENR) research, among other areas.

This first-ever direct invitation from the Department of Energy for submission of proposals to fund this research marks a significant point in the field's history. This is one of three recent shifts in the scientific establishment's attitude toward this new field of science.

According to the announcement, ARPA-E will make a total of $10 million available for research through 20 awards of up to $500,000 each.

Brillouin Energy Corporation could begin manufacturing Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) devices by the end of 2014, the company's CEO Robert W. George III told Sterling D. Allen of Pure Energy Systems. George also said his company has signed a "multimillion dollar licensing deal" with an unidentified firm in South Korea.
The Korean firm has already paid Brillouin $375,000 in cash as half of the down payment for the rights to manufacture its hot tube boiler technology, George reportedly said. The company is supposed to wire Brillouin another $375,000 within 90 days to cement the deal.

The application here with LENR power is obvious. Once Andrea Rossi makes his hot cat units available to the public, a Cyclone engine plus a LENR unit could power most of the vehicles on the road – especially the larger ones capable of carrying heavier loads. While Rossi says vehicle adaptation is 20 years in the future, it appears that the future is now.

CEO компании, Tom Darden, заключил в сентябре соглашение с китайской стороной (через посредство компании Industrial Heat LLC) о начале масшабных исследований и разработок на основе новейших чистых энергетических технологий, использующих никель. Таким образом, делает вывод автор статьи "The One That Got Away" на сайте, вожделенная новая энергетическая технология очевидным образом ускользает в Китай (о чем нам ранее намекал  gerasim).

BlackLight Power, Inc. (BLP) today announced that it has produced millions of watts of power with its breakthrough Solid Fuel-Catalyst-Induced-Hydrino-Transition (SF-CIHT) patent pending technology in its laboratories. 

Blacklight Power and its founder Randell Mills have a long history of making claims. They disappeared for a while after failing to commercialize the technology back in about 2009. Then they resurfaced in May of 2012. 

More of the history is below.

Using a proprietary water-based solid fuel confined by two electrodes of a SF-CIHT cell, and applying a current of 12,000 amps through the fuel, water ignites into an extraordinary flash of power. The fuel can be continuously fed into the electrodes to continuously output power. BlackLight has produced millions of watts of power in a volume that is one ten thousandths of a liter corresponding to a power density of over an astonishing 10 billion watts per liter. 

The power-producing system catalytically converts the hydrogen of the H2O-based solid fuel into a non-polluting product, lower-energy state hydrogen called "Hydrino", by allowing the electrons to fall to smaller radii around the nucleus. The energy release of H2O fuel, freely available in the humidity in the air, is one hundred times that of an equivalent amount of high-octane gasoline. The power is in the form of plasma, a supersonic expanding gaseous ionized physical state of the fuel comprising essentially positive ions and free electrons that can be converted directly to electricity using highly efficient magnetohydrodynamic converters. Simply replacing the consumed H2O regenerates the fuel. Using readily-available components, BlackLight has developed a system engineering design of an electric generator that is closed except for the addition of H2O fuel and generates ten million watts of electricity, enough to power ten thousand homes. Remarkably, the device is less than a cubic foot in volume. To protect its innovations and inventions, multiple worldwide patent applications have been filed on BlackLight's proprietary technology.
